The topics for four ministries namely Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Development and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports were voted on and approved at the First Meeting of the 22nd Session of the Legislative Council. The sitting reconvened this week for the ninth day, with the council first hearing the Questions for Oran Answers raised by the Appointed Members. Among them was the service and process of duty valuation.

 

The 'Whole of Government' approach for the digitalisation of services will continue to be implemented. Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence stressed that the initiative is aligned with the transformation efforts for a more efficient, impactful and citizen-based public service.

 

Regarding digital capacity building, Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications explained that efforts to strengthen the development of digital talent through various initiatives have been intensified to foster interest in the field of technology, especially among the younger generation.

 

The 'E-Stamping' Module System for stamp duty used in official and commercial matters was shared by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy. The module shows an increase in online transactions and reduces the process of duty valuation.
